FAQ - Cosipillows

Cosi heat pads contain an infrared heating element. The pad uses this to heat your body directly. This means that no heat is lost to the (outside) air. The eco-friendly Cosipillows therefore save heat and mean you don't have to turn the thermostat up so high at home.

Before using for the first time, fully charge the battery or power bank using the charger provided. The light on the charger will be red while the battery is charging. When the light turns green, the battery is fully charged and ready for use. Unplug the charger when the battery is fully charged.

Open the zip on the cushion and connect the battery to the cable from the control panel. Then place the battery in the battery compartment in the inner cushion. The Cosipillow is now ready for use.

Switch on the heating by pressing the control panel and holding it down for at least 3 seconds. The heating element will switch on when the light on the control panel comes on. After switching on, 3 indicator bars will light up:

Cosipillow V1 / Cosiseat Single V1 / Cosiseat Double:
1 indicator bar temperature +/- 38 ◦C
2 indicator bars temperature +/- 45 ◦C
3 indicator bars temperature +/- 50 ◦C

Cosipillow V2 / Cosiseat Lite:
1 temperature indicator line +/- 35 ◦C
2 temperature indicator lines +/- 48 ◦C
3 temperature indicator bars +/- 58 ◦C

The actual temperature depends on the ambient temperature. To switch off the Cosipillow: press and hold the control panel for 3 seconds until all lights are off.

Not going to use the Cosipillow for a while? Always disconnect the battery.

Yes, the heat pads are made of high-quality fabric. Thanks to this UV-resistant, colourfast and mould-resistant fabric, the Cosipillow is ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.

In addition, all Cosi products are CE and UKCA certified. This means that Cosi puts your safety first.

The cushion covers of the Cosi heat cushions are washable. Switch off the cushion and remove the cushion cover from the inner cushion. Store the inner cushion and all its components in a dry place. The inner cushion and the infrared heating element must not get wet and cannot be washed. Wash the cushion cover according to the washing instructions on the label behind the zip.

The battery may not be properly connected to the charger, preventing it from charging. First, check that the battery is properly connected to the charger by pressing the connection points firmly together and try charging again. The light on the charger will be red when the battery is charging and green when the battery is fully charged.

If the battery still does not charge after this second attempt, please contact the address where you purchased the Cosi heat pad. Did you purchase the heat pad directly from us? If so, please contact us via our contact form.

Check that the battery is fully charged and that it is properly connected to the control panel cable. Press and hold the control panel for 3 seconds; the lights should now come on.

Are both the lights and the heating function of the cushion still not working? Then there may be something wrong with the cushion's battery. If only the lights remain off and the heating function does switch on, there may be something wrong with the lights in the control panel. The two versions differ in a number of ways:

1. Connection:
The Cosipillow V1, Cosiseat Single V1 and Cosiseat Double have a heating element, battery and adapter with a DC connection. The heating element, power bank and adapter of the Cosipillow V2 and Cosiseat Lite have a USB-C connection.

Due to the different connections, the components of the two different versions are not interchangeable.

2. Heat settings:
Both Cosipillow models have three heat settings that you can easily operate via the black Cosi heat label. With Cosipillow version 1, you can choose between 38°C (low), 45°C (medium) and 50°C (high). The updated Cosipillow version 2 offers settings of 35°C (low), 48°C (medium) and 58°C (high). The medium and high settings have been made more powerful in the new model, giving you even more warmth on colder days.

3. How to use:
The Cosipillow V1, Cosiseat Double and Cosiseat Single V1 are completely wireless and can be used with the rechargeable battery. 

The advantage of the Cosipillow V2 and Cosiseat Lite is that, in addition to being completely wireless, you can also connect the heating pad directly to the mains. You do this by connecting the USB-C adapter to the back of the black control panel. The addition of this second mode of use means you are always guaranteed warmth, even when the power bank is empty.

4. Fabrics & colours:
You can also tell whether a Cosi heating cushion has a V1 or V2 heating system by the different colours and fabrics of the cushions:

• Version 1 with DC connection: Comfort teddy, Comfort grey, Comfort natural, Comfort green, Solid grey and Solid natural.
• Version 2 with USB-C connection: Soft terra, Terra brown, Pistachio green, Teddy beige, Teddy grey and Teddy earth brown.

It is possible that the battery will not last as long after a longer period of time. Is the battery no longer working properly? Then it is possible to replace it with a new one. Only use the original Cosi battery or power bank. Using a different battery may cause damage to the Cosipillow or other objects, or injury to people.

With the Cosipillow, you can choose from 3 heat settings. The heat settings differ between models:

Cosipillow V1 / Cosiseat Single V1 / Cosiseat Double*:
Low: +/- 38°C, medium: +/- 45°C and high: +/- 50°C

Cosipillow V2 / Cosiseat Lite*:
Low: +/- 35°C, medium: +/- 48°C and high: +/- 58°C

Simply press the control panel to select one of the three different heat settings and enjoy the wonderful warmth.

*The actual temperature depends on the ambient temperature.

The Cosi heat pads are equipped with a battery/power bank. You can easily charge them with the included charger.

When the battery is empty, it takes approximately 3 hours to fully charge it. Depending on the heat setting, you can enjoy your Cosi heat cushion for up to 5 hours on a full battery.

The operating time depends on the heat setting that is selected. When using the heat cushion on the lowest heat setting, the battery lasts an average of 5 hours. When using the highest heat setting, the battery lasts an average of 2 hours.

Check whether the cushion is switched on by pressing and holding the control panel for 3 seconds until it switches on (lights come on) and select the desired heat setting.

Are the lights on the control panel not coming on? Then it may be that the battery is not properly connected to the control panel cable in the cushion, preventing the cushion from switching on. Open the zip on the cushion cover and check that the battery is properly connected to the heating element by pressing the connection firmly. Try switching on the cushion again.

Is the cushion switched on and the battery properly connected to the infrared heating element, but the heating function still does not work?
