Usage & Maintenance

  • How do you turn on the Cosi lighting?

The Cosisfera can be switched on and dimmed by pressing the button on the front of the lamp. A short touch turns the lamp on or off. Touch the button longer to operate the stepless dimming function.

The Cosilumia can be switched on manually by pressing the touch switch on top of the solar panel. To adjust the light setting, touch the same button again. There are three different light settings.

The Cosisfera and Cosilumia cannot be switched on or off with a remote control or app.

  • Is the Cosi lighting dimmable?

The Cosisfera is continuously dimmable. Touch the control button a little longer to make the light brighter. Release the button when you have reached the desired brightness.

Want to make the light a little less bright? Hold the button again and release it when the light has reached the desired brightness.

The Cosilumia has three different light settings: 25%, 50% and 100% brightness. You can set these light settings by pressing the touch switch until the desired setting is selected. The Cosilumia is not continuously dimmable.

  • Can you place the lighting anywhere?

You can place the Cosisfera anywhere. Please make sure that the Cosisfera is placed away from fire or heat sources, a bath or other water sources to prevent short circuits. If it rains outside, always bring the Cosisfera indoors.

In addition, always make sure that the surface on which you place the Cosisfera is flat and dry, so that the Cosisfera is stable and the charging point on the underside of the lamp is not damaged.

You can place the Cosilumia frame anywhere, both indoors and outdoors. Always make sure that the surface on which you place the Cosilumia is flat so that the product is stable and cannot fall over.

Please note that the Cosilumia solar panel must be kept away from sources of fire or heat, a bath or other sources of water to prevent short circuits. If it starts to rain, always remove the solar panel from the Cosilumia frame and take it indoors.

  • How can you hang the Cosisfera?
You can hang the Cosisfera using the S-hook provided. Remove the cord from the Cosisfera by gently sliding it over the control button. Hang the S-hook on the cord of the Cosisfera and hang the other end of the hook on a stable hanging place.
  • Can the Cosi lighting be left outside when it rains?

We recommend only using the Cosisfera and the Cosilumia solar panel outdoors when it is dry. The Cosisfera and the Cosilumia solar panel are splash-proof and can be used in very light rain. We recommend always bringing the Cosisfera and the Cosilumia solar panel indoors after use or when it starts to rain heavily. The Cosilumia solar panel is easy to remove from the frame.

The Cosilumia frame can remain outside, even when it rains. Of course, the product will last longer if it is covered during prolonged periods of bad weather.

The Cosisfera and the Cosilumia solar panel have an IP rating of 54.

  • How do you activate the Cosilumia daylight sensor?

To activate the daylight sensor, slide the sensor switch to the ON position. The lamp will turn on automatically when it gets dark. To turn off the daylight sensor, slide the sensor switch to the OFF position. The sensor switch has a waterproof cover; touch the switch with your finger to feel/see whether it is in the ON or OFF position.

When the daylight sensor is activated and the battery still has power, the lamp will turn on in the light setting that was selected during the last use. If the battery was empty and the solar panel is charged, the lamp will always turn on at light setting 1 (25% brightness).
